Diamonds

Are you representing a quickly spewed together diamond or one naturally produced hundreds of miles beneath the earth and more than 3.3billion years old. With a fast paced world we are used to cheap, effective and quick. So when we see something that has taken time and grounded in natural elements we seem to be keen towards it.

The rare beauty between being formed is that no other diamond will be like it! Sure a lab made diamond can have the same components and same worth but the value someone places on it is different. A diamond formed deep below the earth surface and the journey the diamond had to go through to provide that sparkle is just remarkable!

The markings on the naturally formed diamond are unique and different from a lab made diamond. All this talk of diamonds, so how does it relate to you and me?

We can attend all the right events and Bible schools to form us and shape us, yes they will be effective but there is a different quality when the Lord has His way with us in everyday circumstances.

In life’s dark moments and pressures we hear the stillness and peace of the Lord calling out through circumstances. In darkness and uncertainties our roots grow deep. Clarity and breath come after we have overcome or through the process. There is a different type of realization and formation that happens in a process that is difficult perhaps, where we need the Lord and only Him.

In desperation we aren’t just breathing we are panting, seeking and receiving. The Lord allows us to get to places of need to see our true need for Him. He shapes our mindset in those moments, takes away our fears, chisels in our character and creates diamonds out of us!

So rejoice in your pressures! Let the Lord work on you through them.
