Transformation

One day you are a caterpillar, crawling on the dirt. You take each day filling up your spirit finding nourishment from the elements around you. Then after you feel like you are going in the right direction you find yourself in solitude and seclusion. This is the moment the Lord is sanctifying you, transforming you for new heights. It may be unseen to the world. It may be uncomfortable but it’ll be amazing! The places you go, the vibrant colors coming off of you didn’t happen overnight but it took time.

What do people really get for all their hard work? I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:9-11

God is truly in control of your life, He is working all things for your good! He is transforming you into His masterpiece. You cannot even imagine the impact you will have when the Lord transforms you. Sometimes when we crawl slowly in life and always see from an intimidating perspective it’s hard to grasp all that we can do with God. In those moments we need to remember that without faith it’s impossible to please God. Caleb and Joshua believed in God and they entered the promise land. There is a promise for me and you but we have to believe in it, we have to have faith that the one who has called us to it will supply us through it.

Today the caterpillar mentality is saying this is it… you’ll be lucky to try all the leaves in this garden, there is no way you will see, taste or explore other places. With the limitations at hand and time against us, yes with our strengths we will not complete much. There is a different scenario when God steps into the picture.

Many times the Lord says don’t quit, don’t give up! I will transform you and you will reach places you never imagined. Our mind doesn’t look at what God is doing and how we will transform but on our current state. Lord forgive us! Yes take us to those new levels! We want to take in the fragrances of different flowers, we want to be part of the pollination process. It’s hard to imagine a bug that destroys the life it’s on (the plants) to then come back and bless it, but that’s the mighty hand of God!

Perhaps you feel like you are eating away at your resources and think how can I ever bless in return I only take and need to be provided for. My state right now is all for myself. When we live for ourselves we take, destroy, satisfy fleshly at the harm of others… but when we surrender we transform.

There comes a time in our life when we reach a realization that we simply cannot continue. Self indulgence isn’t Godly or what we are called for. We see the havoc around us and start to seek the Lord. He hears us, our cry for help and He begins to work with us.

He takes us away to an area of solitude and growth and transformation. Something no one else can see because it is internal but oh so beautiful. That sticky mess is metamorphosis. One day you will soar and everyone will see the Lord’s work in you and through you but today stay faithful to Him continue to be available for change and the Lord will finish His perfect work. He is your father and author of your story. He is in control.
