Multiplication

I took a tiny seed in my hand, one with hundreds the same by its side, but what is the difference? This one will be going underground in fertile soil. This one will be going into darkness and solitude. Do you ever feel the weight of life burying on top of you with little room to breath and hope far off? How could something good come of this financial pressure, emotional burden and physical uncomfort? Ahh, but that is the beauty, death must come to the seed to bear much fruit in return.

Is it not deep within the dirt that the start of the formation of something beautiful occurs. Before we can see upward growth we need internal transformation. Much happens beneath the surface of what is seen on the outside. When the Lord sanctifies us, we are broken from our past ways, set ways and walls around us. With this brokenness, we begin to grow. The Lord wraps Himself and His love within us and from it shoots out deep roots.

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

Ephesians 3:17

When your heart posture and thoughts starts to meditate on God’s love and out of the abundance of your heart your mouth is speaking of God’s love you have the strength to overcome. You are kept strong and secure knowing that what comes against you is not stronger than who is in you. When you know your position in Christ and what privledges you and I have as a child of God we are truly strengthened. Do we really know who we stand before?

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:6

Situations and pressures come upon us and we can handle it with an earthly perspective or an eternal one.

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

2 Corinthians 4:17

A new position and new place is going to make you feel uncomfortable. Queen Ester was taken from her norm, broken down but how did she feel between then and her new position? She didn’t know if she would be chosen as queen. It’s in the waiting when we are tested in our character, obedience and trust in our faithful Father.

Let’s embrace where we are, who we are in and His plans for our life is for good not harm. After the season, growth begins but remember inside growth is what happens first; get those deep roots.
