Soar higher

My pastor said something deep, aerodynamics beat the rule of gravity. An airplane defies the rules of gravity and rises above it. What Jesus did beats the power of sin and death, even when we fall we are meant to fly! We get back up, “For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.” Proverbs 24:16

This perspective shook me. This visual was so vivid to me. I fall, I mess up, the shame and disgrace I feel daily… but then I remember I’m just a mortal needing the grace of a savior. It never is in my power. And even the best isn’t enough, it isn’t by works but by the power of the Holy Spirit. The grace poured out unto us, for us, to live a life of victory in Christ Jesus. We are called for great things, to go higher but not in our strengths rather only in His.

Too many of us don’t see that we have been created into that airplane to soar high and far… we still see the lies of the enemy on our lives. And he will do anything to keep us from realizing our potential and full purpose in Christ. “ For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10. Maybe it’s the lie of the enemy that your spouse isn’t Christian so you can never be in ministry or have a healthy family in service. Don’t you know your faith makes the family holy? That the children of God receive His blessing? That cup overflows unto your loved loves. There is a blessing:

“For the unbelieving husband is sanctified [that is, he receives the blessings granted] through his [Christian] wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be [ceremonially] unclean, but as it is they are holy.” 1cor 7:14-16

We have a purpose, we are God’s handiwork, it’s all prepared for us in Christ Jesus, now let’s go out and soar for Him to the Heights that He is calling us to.

If I live by the flesh it will dictate my life to death but if for the Spirit then I have truth and life and can rise above everything looking to seek me out and drown me. The storm waters may rage but our God draws the boundary line, in the sea and in our lives. “Here and no more.” I can almost imagine Him creating the boarders of my life. Would he allow his beloved to be crushed or tested? He doesn’t give us more than we can handle and will always show us a way out. (See 1Corinthians 10:13)

We are built up and purified but in the end we will come out sparkly. Only what needs to be burned up on us will, the golden qualities will stay and become stronger in the heat. The heat of the moment melts us and fortifies us. When we are melted within, the nasty ugly metals in our personality come afloat… we allow the Holy Spirit to point it out and sanctify us. It’s out choice to rid them though. Fasting and prayer for a problem is a great solution. Speaking from someone who can’t hold a fast. I know deep inside I will get tremendous breakthrough once I can truly overcome this obstacle in my life.

Is it just me or do the difficult moments in life give us new perspectives? I would never see my selfish ways without the opposition, without a situation to bring to light this unliking attitude. Sometimes I needed my husband to point out my flaws, for who knows me better? Then it’s a choice, do I rise above the occasion and overcome this character flaw or burry it again until the next testing and heat in my life? The choice is mine. The choice is yours. Let’s choose to soar.

Overcome the obstacles, rid the unnecessary mindsets, and do what He has predestined us to do! All for the glory of God. If he calls us to it, He will supply us through it. Every step of the way.
